
On Friday, Karnataka’s Industries Minister MB Patil approved 64 projects worth a total of Rs 3,587 crore. These initiatives are projected to generate approximately 13,896 jobs across the state.
During the 146th State-Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC) meeting at the Karnataka Udyog Mitra (KUM) office, the minister authorized 64 projects. Patil emphasized that these ventures will boost industrial development and employment opportunities in various districts, including Bengaluru, Belagavi, Tumakuru, Yadagiri, Haveri, Gadag, and Mysuru. The committee approved two notable large and medium-scale projects for Belagavi.

VEGA Auto Accessories Private Limited in Belagavi will invest Rs 205 crore to establish an EPS liner manufacturing unit in Ullagadi Khanapur Village, Hukkeri Taluk, Belagavi District. This project is expected to create around 306 jobs. EPS (expanded polystyrene) is a crushable foam commonly used in helmet liners and other energy management applications like automobile bumpers.
Meanwhile, NETRA Dairy Products Private Limited in Belagavi will invest Rs 64.71 crore to set up a dairy products unit in Bassapur, near Kittur, Belagavi District. This investment is anticipated to generate approximately 395 jobs.
