The auctioning process for the properties of Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna Society has been restarted. A total of 17 properties, including 14 in Belagavi district, will be auctioned through an e-auction on Tuesday, August 27, from 11 am to 1 pm.
A notification regarding the auction was issued on Monday, August 19, by the special authorities established by the state government to investigate scams such as the IMA case. The auction will be conducted online, with a deadline for participation set for Saturday, August 24. Interested bidders must upload the required documents by Monday, August 26, to qualify for participation in the e-auction.

The properties to be auctioned, which were seized from the Sangolli Rayanna Society, have been thoroughly evaluated. The notification provides detailed information about the value of each lot, the deposit required to participate in the auction, and the minimum bid increment. This is the second attempt to auction these properties, as the first attempt was not completed. The proceeds from the auction will be distributed to the depositors, who had submitted applications in December 2023. A special cell in Bangalore was set up for this purpose, and many depositors from Belagavi have already submitted the necessary documents and are now awaiting the return of their deposits.
Properties in Belagavi city and taluk, including those located in CTS No. 3546, Risaldar Galli, Hindalga, Kangrali Khurd, Hanumannagar, Balekundri Khurd, KK Kopp, and Ankalgi, are also part of this auction. Following the exposure of a scam involving the Sangolli Rayanna Society in 2017, the government swiftly took action, leading to the confiscation of assets related to the society. Some of these assets have also been seized by the Directorate of Enforcement.
The depositors are hopeful that this time, the auction process will be successful, and they will finally receive their due amounts.
