A 42-year-old man, Shridhar Pawar, lost his life in a tragic accident on Mahatma Phule Road in Belagavi city on Thursday morning. Pawar, a resident of Santsena Road, was out for his regular morning walk when an out-of-control Bolero struck him.
The incident occurred when the Bolero, traveling from Shri Basveshwar Circle towards the Bank of India, veered off course and crashed into a road bifurcation. Shridhar, who had paused at the bifurcation to cross the road, was critically injured in the collision. Despite being rushed to the hospital for treatment, he succumbed to his injuries.
The accident is believed to have been caused by the driver’s loss of control over the vehicle. A complaint has been lodged with the Traffic South Police.
Shridhar Pawar was an electrician contractor by profession and is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
