Belagavi Art Festival 2024 will officially be launched on October 6th at Sapna Book House, Belagavi, marking a unique addition to the cultural landscape of Belagavi. The festival is Curated jointly by Sapna Book House and Rostrum Diaries, a notable community recognized for its dedication to art and literature events, this festival aims to bring people together through the transformative power of art.
The press meeting was briefed by Mr. Raghu M.V. (Branch Head of Sapna Book House),
Abhishek Bendigeri (Curator of the Festival); Community Heads: Gloria Alvaris, Shradha Hiremath,
Charusheela Saluankhe, Neeharika Mishra, Sumeet Arya and others were present.
Speaking at the press briefing, Abhishek Bendigeri highlighted the importance of art, saying, “Art has a unique power to bring people together, bridging cultural gaps and fostering a sense of community. That is the true intention behind the Belagavi Art Festival—to unite people through the beauty of creative expression.
He further added – All submitted artworks will be featured in an Online Virtual Art Gallery, allowing the Belagavi Art Festival to reach audiences worldwide. In the past two seasons, the festival has garnered over 1 million viewers for the online art gallery, highlighting the global interest in this initiative. This virtual gallery will complement the physical exhibition, enabling more people to appreciate the artworks from anywhere in the world, and providing Belagavi’s artists with an incredible platform to showcase their talent on a global scale, thereby benefiting them significantly.”
Mr. Raghu M.V. from Sapna Book House added, “We believe in supporting the arts because they
inspire creativity and bring communities closer. This festival is our way of giving back to the city and
encouraging people to celebrate the richness of art and culture of this beautiful city – Belagavi.”
All art lovers are invited to join the inauguration tomorrow, October 6th, at 11 am at Sapna Book
House, Belagavi.
About the Festival: The Belagavi Art Festival emphasizes the importance of art in society, encouraging participation from all age groups.
Participation is Free: Everyone is invited to participate at no cost.
Categories of Participation:
1. Category 1: Age group below 16 (open for school children).
2. Category 2: Age group 16+ (no age limit, welcoming all artists).
Registration Details:
1. Visit Location to Register: Participants must make an in-person visit to Sapna Book House, Shri Krishnadevaraya Circle (Kolhapur Circle), Near Hotel Ramdev, Belagavi.
Timings: 11 AM – 8 PM (Open every day).
Registration Period: From October 6th onwards until November 30th, participants can visit to register and collect the registration form and FREE Art Sheet.
2. Registration Kit:
Enrol your name and collect a registration form and a FREE Art Sheet.
Last Date for Registration: November 30, 2024.
3. Submission Process:
After registration, participants must submit their artwork at Sapna Book House.
Last Date for Submission: December 5, 2024.
4. Art Mediums:
Participants can create Artwork can be on any topic or theme and in any form, including pencil, poster colors, watercolor, charcoal, etc.
We encourage creativity in all mediums! Artwork must be done on the provided art paper.
5. Online Virtual Art Gallery: All submitted artworks will be featured in an Online Virtual Art
Gallery so that Belagavi Art Fetsiv
6. Art Exhibition: The best artworks selected by a jury will be showcased at an exhibition at Sapna Book House in December 2024. Details regarding exhibition dates will be shared via our WhatsApp group, website, and Instagram page.
7. Awards: Awards will be presented for the winner, runner-up, and consolation prizes in both categories during the Valedictory Event in December 2024. All art works will be evaluated by experienced Artists of the city.
8. Audience Choice Award: Audience Choice Award is an additional award where Voters in the Online Virtual Art Gallery can cast their votes until December 6, 2024 and audience choice award will be declared based on people’s choice.
