After a long wait, the much-anticipated Modern Market at Kalamandir, Tilakwadi, is finally set for its grand inauguration on April 20 at 11:30 AM. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will officially inaugurate the newly constructed commercial complex, which has been ready for nearly a year but awaited a formal launch.

The original structure was handed over to Belagavi Smart City Ltd, and demolition began on May 27, 2019. The redevelopment project, taken up at a cost of ₹46.68 crore, was executed by Yankee Construction, Bengaluru.
Key Features of the Modern Market:
- Structure: Basement + Ground + 2 Floors
- Basement: Multi-level car parking
- Ground Floor: Commercial shops
- First Floor: Shops and a vibrant food court
- Second Floor: Multiplex with steel roofing and a meeting hall lobby
