
A 49-year-old homemaker was found murdered in her residence at Ganeshpur in Belagavi on the night of April 21, in what police suspect to be a case of robbery gone wrong.
The victim, Anjana Ajit Daddikar, was discovered unconscious by her husband, Ajit Daddikar, an auto-rickshaw driver. She was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. Preliminary reports suggest she was strangled.
Investigators noted that several valuables, including her mangalsutra and earrings, were missing from the house, indicating a possible motive of theft.

Senior police officials, including Deputy Commissioners of Police Rohan Jagadeesh and Niranjan Raje Urs, along with Circle Inspector Altaf Mulla, visited the crime scene to oversee the investigation.
“One suspect has been secured. The investigation is ongoing,” DCP Jagadeesh confirmed to reporters.
