Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah nearly slapped Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Narayan Bharamani during a public rally in Belagavi today at CpED ground on Club road.

The incident occurred after a scuffle broke out outside the venue, where Siddaramaiah was scheduled to speak. Bharamani, who was responsible for stage security, was caught in the middle of the disturbance involving protesting BJP women workers near the venue.

In a moment of frustration, Siddaramaiah raised his hand towards the officer while addressing him, publicly reprimanding him for the situation. The Chief Minister then summoned ASP Bharamani to the stage, confronting him directly over the issue.

“You, whoever you are, come here, what were you doing?” he asked and raised his hand to slap the officer, but stopped shortly at doing so. Subsequently, he instructed him to remove the people who are creating disturbance. In the video, Siddaramaiah was seen losing his cool despite AICC general secretary Raneeep Singh Surjewala and Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H K Patil trying to calm him down.
