The Goa Police recently busted a fraudulent recruitment agency run by two men from Karnataka. Nashir Ahamad Tigadi from Belagavi and Mohammad Haji from Vijapura were nabbed after complaints from job seekers who were promised lucrative jobs abroad but ended up in scam call centers in Cambodia and Thailand.

The victims reported that the suspects operated a recruitment firm in Mumbai, offering jobs with a monthly salary of ₹1 lakh. The state police are now working to track down other individuals involved in the illegal recruitment network. Superintendent of Police (Crime) Rahul Gupta mentioned that incriminating evidence was found on the accused’s mobile phones.
