Meet Dinesh Sidragavali, a determined para-athlete and gold medalist in table tennis, whose unwavering spirit continues to inspire many. Living in Macche, Belagavi, Dinesh has won accolades at the national level, despite facing 90% physical disability due to polio since the age of two.
While Dinesh shines in the sporting arena, life has been far from easy. To support his mother and wife after the loss of his father, he works as a delivery boy for Zomato. With limited mobility, he calls customers to collect their orders as climbing floors is a challenge. Yet, his self-respect and resolve keep him going.
Dinesh’s dream is to represent India in the National Para Games 2025 and win gold for the country. However, lack of access to proper training facilities poses a major hurdle. Most sports academies are located on upper floors, making it difficult for him to train consistently.
To overcome these challenges, Dinesh hopes to train at home with a table tennis table and a TT robot machine, allowing him to practice daily. This equipment would be a game-changer, enabling him to prepare rigorously and achieve his goal of bringing more glory to the nation.
