A horrifying incident unfolded at a private hospital in Belagavi city, where a youth carried out a deadly attack on a nurse after she rejected his romantic advances. The incident, which occurred on October 30, has come to light recently, along with CCTV footage capturing the act, reported TV9.
The accused, identified as Prakash Jadhav, allegedly assaulted the nurse with a machete in a fit of rage. The attack not only left the nurse traumatized but also deeply affected her family, leading to the death of her father, reportedly from the stress caused by the incident.
The accused had been harassing the nurse for a while, persistently pressuring her to marry him. Prakash even visited the nurse’s home with his family to propose marriage, but her family firmly rejected the proposal. Angered by her continued refusal, he entered the hospital with a machete hidden in his bag, barged into the reception area, and launched a brutal attack on the nurse.
The entire assault was captured on the hospital’s CCTV cameras.
Upon receiving information, police swiftly arrested Prakash Jadhav, and a case was registered at the Khadebazar police station. The authorities confirmed that the accused had been stalking and pressuring the nurse for marriage over a prolonged period. Despite her rejections, he continued his advances, culminating in the violent attack.
