Tragic news has emerged from Prayagraj, where a mother and daughter from Belagavi, who had travelled for the ongoing Kumbh Mela, have reportedly lost their lives.
The deceased have been identified as Jyoti Hattarapath (50), a resident of Vadgaon, Belagavi, and her daughter Megha Hattarapath. The duo went missing following a stampede at the event, leading to growing concern among their family members in Belagavi. Despite multiple attempts to reach them, calls to their phones remained unanswered, heightening fears about their well-being. Reports now indicate that both have tragically passed away.
Jyoti and Megha had travelled to Prayagraj three days ago with 12 people via Sairath Travel Agency. Smt. Kanchan Koparde and her husband sustained injuries in the incident. However, they are out of danger and have managed to establish contact with their family in Belagavi.
