Farmer leader Fakir Gudaji has lodged a complaint with the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police, accusing the Jai Kisan Wholesale Vegetable Market management of cheating farmers and traders.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Fakir alleged that unfair practices in shop auctions, produce pricing, and transactions were systematically exploiting farmers and traders at the market near the national highway in Gandhi Nagar.
“The auction process should be conducted in the presence of farmers, but rules are being violated, leading to their oppression,” he claimed. A police complaint has also been filed, demanding strict action against those conducting illegal trading activities.
Farmer leaders Sucheta Pavase, Krishna Desai, DM Nesaragi, and Mohsin Khanapure were also present during the complaint submission.
